Priniple of Spray Forming
  • First, the raw materials are heated into molten metal, and then gas atomized.

  • Under the action of the gas jet, the droplets are accelerated to fly and rapidly cooled.

  • When the high-speed flying droplets collide in the precipitator, the spherical particles are impacted. It becomes flat to form a sputtering sheet.

  • The particles solidify rapidly through the cooling effect of the precipitator, and accumulate and form under the action of self- fluxing.

Spray Forming DF6Co2 Heat Treatment Process

Annealing

Softens the steel to about HB 255, improving machinability and relieving internal stress.

Quenching

Heat to 1180–1205°C, followed by rapid cooling to achieve high hardness and wear resistance.

Tempering

Temper at 540–570°C to balance hardness and toughness. Final hardness: 64–67 HRC
