This steel has higher strength and abrasion resistance than T8 and T9, but low heat hardness, low hardenability, and large quenching deformation. Suitable for manufacturing cutting conditions, wear resistance requirements higher, and do not suffer from sudden and violent vibration, need a certain toughness and all kinds of tools with sharp edge, such as turning tool, plane tool, drill bit, paper cutter, low precision, and simple shape measuring tool (such as cardboard, etc.), can be used as a large impact of wear-resistant parts.
The steel is roughed in annealed state, then quenched and tempered to high hardness, and then refined.High wear resistance and mirror finish are obtained.Low carbon martensite quenching can improve wear resistance and toughness, prevent and reduce deformation and cracking.
