440F stainless steel is a high-carbon martensitic stainless steel meant to provide improved machinability and corrosion resistance. An excellent choice for applications where good hardness, wear resistance, and moderate corrosion resistance are required. 440F has a very high sulfur content which aids in machinability, therefore, it is useful for precision machining and automated work processes, and has better machinability than other steels in the 440 series.

Is it have any different than other martensitic stainless steels including 440F?
While other types of martensitic stainless steels (such as 440C), have favorable machining properties but are ideal for use in automated production. Its anti-corrosion ability is as good as 440C, but in cutting efficiency it has more advantage.
