Make sure to clean the steel with soft cloth gently using warm water and mild soap after you use it. Avoid abrasive cleaning products that may scratch or score the surface.
Though 9Cr18MoV exhibits extremely good corrosion resistance, it is best if the tools get a thin coat of oil or a rust-resistant coating if they are routinely exposed to strong chemicals or moisture.
Store parts and tools in a dry, well-ventilated space. Silica gel packets — to absorb moisture in cabinets or toolbox.
9Cr18Mo can reach 58-62HRC, which is achieved after proper heat treatment.
